Uma pequena varia\u00e7\u00e3o em qualquer um dos par\u00e2metros mencionados pode resultar em grandes mudan\u00e7as na taxa de corros\u00e3o e em sua gravidade. S\u00e3o utilizados revestimentos superficiais muito finos, como tintas e camadas galvanizadas, o que torna a aspers\u00e3o t\u00e9rmica e os materiais n\u00e3o met\u00e1licos ideais para tais
