La reacci\u00f3n resulta en la formaci\u00f3n de coque.<\/p>\n<p>Fue durante el desarrollo de las primeras instalaciones industriales de cracking t\u00e9rmico que apareci\u00f3 el horno tubular, un verdadero reactor para la unidad. Este fue ampliamente adoptado en todas las dem\u00e1s instalaciones de refinaci\u00f3n como un medio eficaz para suministrar calor a los productos procesados.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, el cracking t\u00e9rmico se lleva a cabo en la parte pesada de los residuos (residuos al vac\u00edo), ya sea de manera moderada mediante visbreaking o de manera severa mediante cokificaci\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n se utiliza con vapor (cracking con vapor) en petroqu\u00edmicos para producir olefinas.<\/p>\n<p>La conversi\u00f3n generalizada de los destilados al vac\u00edo y la reducci\u00f3n en las cantidades de petr\u00f3leo crudo procesado, llevaron a la separaci\u00f3n de todos los destilados al vac\u00edo. Esto se debe a que, adem\u00e1s de producir menos destilados ligeros, permite obtener un residuo menos viscoso, reduciendo as\u00ed la cantidad de gas\u00f3leo de diluci\u00f3n introducido en el fuel\u00f3leo pesado y, en consecuencia, la cantidad de fuel\u00f3leo pesado producido. En algunos casos, esta cantidad todav\u00eda excede los requerimientos del mercado.<\/p>\n<p>En estos casos, la cokificaci\u00f3n al vac\u00edo del residuo, que es un proceso de cracking t\u00e9rmico severo, reemplaza el visbreaking. Se regenera continuamente: el coque que se asienta en su superficie se quema a medida que avanza.<\/p>\n<p>Las plantas industriales de cracking catal\u00edtico son altamente complejas: adem\u00e1s del reactor y el regenerador, incluyen la separaci\u00f3n de los productos craqueados, una especie de petr\u00f3leo crudo sint\u00e9tico, as\u00ed como la recuperaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda, ya que la temperatura de regeneraci\u00f3n es cercana a 700\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>Los catalizadores y la tecnolog\u00eda de reacci\u00f3n han evolucionado para aumentar tanto la conversi\u00f3n como la producci\u00f3n de gasolina. Los catalizadores altamente activos son ahora tamices moleculares, con tiempos de contacto dentro de unos pocos segundos y rendimientos de gasolina de alrededor del 50%. Se est\u00e1n comenzando a desarrollar instalaciones para el cracking catal\u00edtico de residuos atmosf\u00e9ricos, pero este producto debe ser purificado primero para evitar envenenar el catalizador.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-99aq2ot-cb92b6d19f79f8ad388b2cddd842839a '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p><strong>Hidrocracking e hidrometalizaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El cracking catal\u00edtico en presencia de hidr\u00f3geno se lleva a cabo en destilados al vac\u00edo (hidrocracking) y residuos atmosf\u00e9ricos (hidrometalizaci\u00f3n).<\/p>\n<p>El hidrocracking produce una transformaci\u00f3n casi completa en gasolina, combustibles para aviones y aceites de gas, y se lleva a cabo en una o dos etapas, dependiendo de si el objetivo es producir la mayor cantidad de aceite de gas o gasolina posible. La alta presi\u00f3n de hidr\u00f3geno (100 a 150 atm\u00f3sferas), combinada con temperaturas moderadas (350\u00b0C a 450\u00b0C), limita los dep\u00f3sitos de coque en el catalizador.<\/p>\n<p>La elecci\u00f3n del acero al cromo-molibdeno es adecuada en t\u00e9rminos de resistencia al fluencia, dadas las altas temperaturas aplicadas, que van desde 350\u00b0C a 700\u00b0C en los tres procesos de conversi\u00f3n mencionados anteriormente. Desafortunadamente, tiene sus limitaciones con respecto a la resistencia a la corrosi\u00f3n y a la corrosi\u00f3n bajo tensi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Estos aceros carecen de resistencia a la corrosi\u00f3n,
